Jammu, April 10 (KNO) : Dogra Swabhiman Sangathan chief and a former BJP minister Chaudhary Lal Singh was on Wednesday stopped from heading towards Kishtwar by police. According to KNO correspondent, Singh was stopped at Doda and was detained by police. He was moving towards Kishtwar where RSS leader and his PSO were assassinated by unidentified gunmen on Tuesday. “Singh was disallowed to move towards Kishtwar as a precautionary measure to avoid law and order situation there," official sources said. Kishtwar and Bhaderwah areas of Jammu division continued to remain under restrictions. Meanwhile, police flexed its muscles on Jammu university students after they blocked vehicular movement on University-Railway Station road against killing of RSS leader and his PSO. Jammu High Court Bar Association also suspended work in Jammu High Court against the killing. According to KNO correspondent, seven protesting students were detained by police. "Police resorted to lathicharge to disperse the Jammu university students while they tried staging protest demonstration and blocked the traffic movement on University-Railway Station road over Kishtwar incident," they said. Protesters belonging to Bajrang Dal also protested in Jammu. The protesting students said that in past Parihar brothers were killed in similar fashion and perpetrators are yet to be put behind bars. "We ask Governor Satya Pal Malik as to why targeted killing of Hindus is going un noticed. It’s second such incident. It must be probed and those behind the crime should be brought to book," they said. (KNO)
